In 1998, the NMCPG started the first statewide directory of counselors / therapists certified, licensed, and insured in problem gambling treatment and prevention services, including problem gambling inpatient treatment and prevention facilities, in New Mexico.

  • Intensive Out-Patient (IOP) meetings supervised by licensed, certified, and insured therapists / counselors where problem gamblers and their families gather in a safe environment to share their experience, foster a community of hope, and support individualized recovery
  • Individual problem gambling therapy sessions
  • Conduct prospective patient intake assessments
  • Assist responsible gaming advocates with problem gambling prevention / treatment awareness initiatives, including media campaigns for television, radio, billboard, and print outlets.
  • Provide research support services to document areas of program need
